2020 German Stata Conference

Dear Stata Conference participants, speakers and organizers,

due to the current situation around Covid-19 we put the health and protection of all our participants, employees, organizers and speakers first.

For this reason, we closely follow the daily changes and associated innovations and legal requirements and try to adjust to the daily situation.

If we are looking for a possible alternative date or even consider cancelling the conference for this year, we will of course let you know as soon as possible.

Liebe Stata Conference Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer, Referenten und Organisatoren,

aufgrund der aktuellen Situation um Covid-19stellen wir die Gesundheit und den Schutz aller unserer Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer ,Mitarbeiter, Organisatoren und Referenten an erster Stelle.

Aus diesem Grund verfolgen wir aufmerksam die täglichen Änderungen und damit verbundenen Neuerungen bzw. gesetzlichen Auflagen und versuchen uns täglich neu auf die täglich gegebene Situation einzustellen.

Meeting & Workshop

 

Meeting

The 2020 German Stata Conference will be held at the Goethe-University Frankfurt on Friday, June 05 2020. Everybody from anywhere who is interested in using Stata is invited to attend this meeting. The meeting will include presentations about causal models, general statistics, and data management, both by researchers and by StataCorp sta_. The meeting will also include a _wishes and grumbles_ session, during which you may air your thoughts to Stata developers.

 

Workshop

On the day before the conference, Nikos Askitas, from the Institute for Labor Econmics (IZA) will hold a workshop on _Python and Stata_. Details about the workshop are given below the program.

 

Conference Dinner

There is (at additional cost) the option of an informal meal at a restaurant in Frankfurt on Friday evening. Details about accommodations and fees are given below the program

 

Language

The conference language will be English because of the international nature of the meeting and the participation of non-German guest speakers.
