StataNow Update January 2026

We are pleased to introduce the new features of StataNow 19.5.

1) Psychometric Meta-Analysis
With the new meta psycorr command, Stata now supports psychometric meta-analyses for correlations while accounting for measurement errors. Corrections for direct and indirect range restriction, dichotomization, and small-sample bias are integrated. The analysis can be seamlessly continued with the existing meta-suite, for example, for forest plots or subgroup analyses.

2) Moderating Effects in Heterogeneous DID Models
Following a heterogeneous difference-in-differences analysis with two-way fixed effects, moderating effects of covariates can now be examined. The new estat moderation postestimation command shows how cohort- and time-dependent ATETs change depending on covariates. This feature is particularly relevant for empirical analyses in economics, public health, and public policy.

3) Converting Word Documents to HTML, EPUB, and Other Formats
With the new docx2 command family, Word documents created with, for example, putdocx can be converted directly into HTML, EPUB, Markdown, or text files. This allows analysis results to be flexibly reused and published without additional tools.

4) Proportional Odds Test After Ordered Logit
Following an ordered logit regression, the proportional odds assumption can now be tested. The new estat parallel postestimation command provides several tests, including Brant, likelihood-ratio, score, Wald, and Wolfe–Gould tests. Predictors can be continuous, binary, or categorical.
