Abstract:

Stata locals are among the most useful tools for writing cleaner, more efficient, and reproducible code while reducing the risk of errors. This webinar introduces the fundamentals of Stata locals, including how to create, reference, and modify them. Through hands-on examples, participants will learn how locals can simplify repetitive tasks, automate analyses, construct loops, manage files and paths, and make do-files easier to read and maintain. By the end of the session, participants will be able to incorporate local macros into their daily workflows to write more dynamic code.
